Hello, my name is Matthew, and we at Maverick Technologies are in the process of developing our automatic pill crusher, designed for commercial use in hospitals.

Now, you may be asking, why make an automatic pill crusher? Or why make a pill crusher at all? Well, the thing is, some patients in hospitals are unable to receive pills orally, so hospital staff resort to crushing the pills and mixing it with water, feeding the pill through either a nasogastric tube, or a Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastronomy tube, or PEG, for short. PEG tubes are used for long-term patients which need to be fed via the stomach itself, whereas nasogastric tube goes down the esophagus into the stomach itself for short-term patients.

Another question you might be asking is, why are we investing in this market, and why should you? All fully commercialized automatic and manual pill crushers in the market are inconvenient due to the need for constant deep cleaning. Other commercialized pill crushers have tried to prevent this with the invention of pill crusher pouches, which contain the pill inside a bag before it’s crushed. These bags are made out of plastic, which are harmful to the environment and can contribute to the global waste problem.

The market is projected to grow to over 6 billion CAD by 2033, with an average CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 7.5% year over year. The target audience also is spread throughout the world, so we have diversified revenue streams, reflected in the heatmap shown below.

If you choose to invest in Maverick, we will aim to reduce the MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) of our competitors by 70% and making our automatic pill dispenser environmentally friendly.
