Sports teach resilience, teamwork, and collaboration while fostering positive lifestyle adjustments. Therefore, my life has revolved around sports. As a club-level volleyball player, I understand that coaching—more specifically, personalized coaching—can elevate potential performance. For example, one of my volleyball coaches always asks, “What can we do as a team to help you, as an individual, get better?” Most of the time, the solution is coaching. Yet it’s so expensive to get professional assistance ($2400/month for my coach) that many never receive this viable offering.
However, it’s not just me. More than 520,000 NCAA student-athletes at one level alone could benefit from low-cost yet effective coaching. Even those on the varsity teams would greatly improve with specialized feedback tailored to their bodies.
Therefore, I’ve generated an application to enter a marketplace to offer low-cost effective coaching. Those who use the app can easily film and upload videos for biomechanical analysis to determine positive and negative aspects. Once assessed, the program allows drills to be performed and sent back based on body type (with other coaching regimens created for better performance).
But that’s not all—entire teams can benefit from it as well. It generates training plans for specific teams and enables coaches to upload plays and defensive strategies to enhance their performance on the field as well.
This app revolutionizes sports coaching and levels the playing field for athletes of any age and skill. If you’re a coach trying to improve your team or an everyday Joe trying to learn how to improve, this app provides the guidance and training needed to do so—and at no cost. How will this app impact the future of sports?
