In this project, I set out to create two different designs for shoes using piezoelectric discs which generate electricity. This electricity would then charge a battery which would then be able to charge any device you want. Here is what has happened to far.
How much progress have you made? You can show as well as tell!
Currently I have made a decent amount of progress in terms of generating electricity by soldering. I am currently at the trouble shooting stage, as I am losing electricity somewhere in my circuit and I’m working to figure out where that is. I made a different design using a breadboard, and while I am not able to charge a full battery pack, I can recharge double AA batteries which is ultimately what I set out to do.
So far along this project I have had to learn quite about circuits and soldering. Soldering has proved to be quite a challenging skill to master, and making sure my circuits are working in the correct way can prove to be challenging and time consuming if I need to resolder something because I made a mistake.
So I am going to continue troubleshooting my solder design, and finalizing and polishing my breadboard design to make it look more appealing and ensuring that it is durable enough to withstand the forces of walking.
