YET Debrief

Last week, the Fusion Cohort went to University of Victoria for a week to engage in various engineering focused activities. We stayed in the dorms, explored around the campus, as well as the city of Victoria.

One of my favorite activities we participated in while we we’re there was creating airplanes out of foam and cardboard. It was really interesting to learn about how different wings shapes, sizes, and weights, all affect the flight of the plane. I also enjoyed making our own boats out of melted plastic and DC motors, as it was very funny to see most of them fail.

In terms of recreational activities, I enjoyed the board game cafe, as it was very fun to relax and play fun games with my friends. I also enjoyed seeing the waste-water treatment plant, and the bridge leading to Victoria with it’s opening mechanism.

In conclusion, this was a very fun trip and I made memories that will last me a lifetime!
