What have we missed?

During our boat project at UVic, I was one of 3 people who were able to reach the end of our string. This took lots of time thinking about how I was going to use the materials given and optimize my boat. I ended up taking a completely unique approach, and it paid off really well, which is why I believe that I have displayed mastery of Fabrication and Implementation.

Not only did the boat project show my mastery of F&I, it also displayed my skill in pretty much every aspect of the design progress. First, I showcased my ability to empathize and define during the creation of the problem statement, when we were given a scenario of a town that needed to cross a river. Next, we started drafting ideas, and I was able to come up with unique proposals when we did the silent group ideation activity. Although my prototype didn’t yield the best results, I was able to improve on the failure which led to me being able to complete the challenge. Thus, even though I wasn’t able to make a working prototype, I was able to leverage the experience to improve my final product, which is why I believe I also showcased strength in the prototyping process. During all this, I needed to work with robotics, in order to spin the motors and make a propulsion method. This took lots of refinement, trial and error, and learning how to optimize each component of the robotics of the boat.

Thus, I believe that I have proven my proficiency in Prototyping Strategies, Iterative Testing and Refinement, Technical Communication, Robotics Systems and Control, and Creative Ideation and Innovation

Anyways thats all this time bye guys !
