Last week our Fusion 10 Cohort travelled to the University of Victoria for our year end trip. There was a lot of activities and we were quite busy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the trip’s activities were based around STEM and our final projects. Our guides, Arden and Sam, talked about engineering optimizations and efficiency. We also learned a bit more about the structure of planes and boats with our model-building activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight for me was the talks with the UVic students on Wednesday. I was given the opportunity to present my project in a quick way, which made me condense the most important parts into my pitch. I was also given a lot of valuable feedback including ways I could save myself some work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the biggest takeaways of the trip was learning about engineering optimization and how people use it in the industry. There are many uses for this and I feel like I can try to apply it to my project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
